The Yellow Oyster Mushroom is a surprisingly versatile mushroom that can be used in a variety of dishes. The mushroom, when cooked for an extended period of time, develops a “nutty” flavor that can be reminiscent of bacon bits. When eaten raw, the mushroom is extremely bitter and off putting. However, when cooked for an appropriate amount of time, this bitterness is balanced out and the mushrooms are delicious.
